Product Description

The masterpiece side-scrolling shooter game [R-TYPE III] has evolved to a new dimension with the latest technology!

A complete remake of [R-TYPE III THE THIRD LIGHTNING] released by Irem in 1993, featuring 3D graphics and arranged soundtracks!
This masterpiece of a side-scrolling shooter, billed as a "high-density tactical violent shooter," has evolved to a new dimension with modern technology.

After suffering a fatal blow in the long battle with the Bydo, humanity decides to launch a final battle at the Bydo's core. The third Bydo mission, Operation Code [THE THIRD LIGHTNING], is activated. The state-of-the-art R fighter [R-9Ø], incorporating all of humanity's technology, is launched by a space teleporter cannon into the enemy's core, and flies into a fierce battlefield.

The third installment in the series, R-TYPE III, is a major step up from previous titles. It features three of the series' signature forces: Round, Shadow, and Cyclone. There are nine lasers available, and the Mega Wave Cannon and Hyperdrive Mode significantly enhance the Wave Cannon. Combining tactical and exhilarating action, this is one of the most complete titles in the series.

This game allows you to seamlessly switch between 2D and 3D visuals with the touch of a button. It also features a new two-player mode, not available in the original game, allowing players to work together to take on the Bydos. In addition, while the original game is known for its high difficulty thanks to its life system and ability to revive, a new "Infinity Mode" has been added. With infinite lives and instant revival, even beginners to the series can fully enjoy this game's appeal.

This classic has been rebooted for modern players. Experience the evolved R-Type fighting style.
