This is a 1/43 scale handmade model car of the Porsche 918 Spyder 2011 with a rear wing lifted, produced by EIDOLON COLLECTION.
This model faithfully reproduces the Porsche 918 Spyder, a special Porsche model whose concept model was unveiled at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show and went on sale in 2011. This particular model recreates the car with its active rear wing deployed.
The body sides feature large intakes that appear to divide the vehicle, and the depth and sharpness of these cutouts, just like those on the real car, are reproduced with a level of detail that pushes the limits of resin molding.
What immediately catches the eye is the wheel, which features a delicate and intricate spoke design. This was created by machining the original spokes from brass, replacing them with white metal cast parts, chrome plating the entire wheel, and then painting the black sections.
Furthermore, the powertrain, located behind the driver, is covered by a see-through mesh-type cover that seems to flaunt it, and this is reproduced using parts that have been pressed from etched metal. The powertrain visible beneath is also rendered with fine molding to make it look as realistic as possible.
The rear active spoiler, which is one of the highlights of this update, has been redesigned to prioritize thinness and shape, and the details of the mounting surface on the body have also been redesigned.
