[About the actual vehicle]
The rally raid, started in 1978 by Frenchman Thierry Sabine, initially developed as the Paris-Dakar Rally, primarily taking place on the African continent.
In competitions that involve driving on unpaved roads and through desert areas, the participating machines are modified and reinforced to withstand the demanding conditions, essentially becoming special machines designed specifically for the Dakar Rally.
Japan's Hino Motors has been involved in the truck market since 1991.
The machine that competed in the 2023 tournament was based on a hybrid system-equipped vehicle from the 600 series.
The engine is an 8866-liter direct-injection turbocharged inline six-cylinder diesel.
It was equipped with a full-time four-wheel drive mechanism.
Hino Team Sugawara, led by Teruhito Sugawara, achieved an impressive 10th place finish with drivers Teruhito Sugawara, Hirokazu Someya, and Yuji Mochizuki at the wheel.

[About the model]
This model is a pre-painted and assembled replica of the HINO 600 Series Hybrid, which placed 10th in the truck category of the 2023 Dakar Rally.
The model is 1/43 scale, approximately 160mm long and 60mm wide, and faithfully reproduces not only the style of the racing truck but also the chassis, suspension, and other mechanical details.
The body features a faithful reproduction of the color scheme and the various sponsor logos painted on it.
The carp streamer mascot, an essential part of the Hino Team Sugawara machine, is also available as a separate component.
From the underside of the vehicle, the four-wheel drive drive shafts and suspension that transmit power to the front and rear of the ladder frame are also modeled in three dimensions.
The finish conveys a sense of tough driving.
You can take it out of the package and display it, or since it's a window package that allows you to see the contents, you can also display it as is.

The body and chassis are made of die-cast metal.
The interior and wheels are ABS-equipped.
The tires are made of rubber and realistically reproduced.
Transparent plastic parts are used for the windows.
