The Suhane 16, which appeared as a result of the air conditioning upgrade of the Ohane 17 and served as a second-class sleeping car until 1983, is now available in 1/80 scale!

[Vehicle Guide]
The 10 series passenger cars are lightweight passenger cars manufactured by the Japanese National Railways (JNR) starting in 1955.
The Suhane 16 type was a modified version of the Ohane 17 type, which combined a newly manufactured body with the underframe of a pre-war passenger car, and was later modified with air conditioning. Before the modification, the bogies differed between cars equipped with electric heating and those without, but when it became the Suhane 16 type, all bogies were standardized to TR47.
It was mainly used on express trains, and in its later years it was also used on overnight local trains with some sleeping cars attached, but it was retired in 1983.
