During World War II, the German Wehrmacht had to rely on captured vehicles (such as the Beutewagen) in many situations to compensate for its limited transport capabilities.
This book is the first to compile a comprehensive, specialized look at the Bantam BRC-40, Willys MB, Ford GPW, and GAZ-64, all small field cars used by both the US and Soviet armies in the German military.
After nearly 40 years of collecting, we unearthed 118 precious battlefield photographs of German-made American and Soviet field vehicles, most of which are previously unpublished materials.
The book also includes 12 3D images that, for the first time in the world, reproduce in color the unique camouflage paint schemes and markings of the German military.
For the reader's understanding, we have also included a brief history of field vehicles used by the United States, Germany, and the Soviet Union during World War II.
Furthermore, in addition to technical walkaround photographs that capture the vehicle's details, the book also includes a color section of existing vehicles at the end.
