This aircraft was operated in Australia, Finland, Sweden, Latvia, and other countries. In Japan, Nakajima Aircraft purchased two of these aircraft for the development of the Type 9 Carrier Fighter, and in 1930 licensed production of only two more aircraft, the Nakajima Bulldog Fighter, which had a slightly modified design.
