This is a tank truck piggyback transport vehicle manufactured by Nippon Sharyo since 1991.
Against the backdrop of a shortage of truck drivers due to the effects of the economic bubble, a total of 20 tank trucks were manufactured for the purpose of transporting petroleum using piggyback transport.
The vehicle was over 20 meters long and could carry two 20-ton tank trucks back-to-back, but it needed a low center of gravity to allow for high-speed operation.
Therefore, a central beam was placed in the middle, and the side beams on which the tires rest were lowered to the absolute minimum height, resulting in a unique structure.
A dedicated reach stacker was also introduced for cargo handling.
The bogies were of the FT1-1 type.
Initially, the trains were operated in formations of 4 to 9 cars, but later they were expanded to a maximum of 18 cars.
After the bubble economy burst, the service was short-lived due to factors such as the reduction of truck freight rates, and it was dismantled after operations ceased in 1996.

The basic structure of the vehicle body is a metal kit primarily made of nickel silver etched plates.
The main parts are already folded.
This product features meticulous attention to detail, utilizing numerous white metal components to achieve a highly intricate finish.
The tank truck section is constructed with weight considerations in mind, combining a resin body with white metal parts and etched handrail parts.
The trolley section is made of white metal and is included.
Wheels are not included. Please use φ10.5 pivot wheels from another manufacturer.
Due to the axle length, Nikko products are not compatible.
Other required items include couplers and Endo center pins.
