-- King Tiger details & modeling
Tank Modeling Guide 15 features the King Tiger, the ultimate German tank of World War II, equipped with armor up to 180mm thick and the 8.8 cm KwK 43 L/71, which could destroy a JS-2 Stalin tank from 2km away (3km away for American and British tanks).
[Article Content]
The King Tiger, like many German tanks, underwent subtle modifications, and this book provides a detailed explanation of these changes, presented month by month with illustrations and photographs, along with a comprehensive overview of the actual vehicle's specifications. It also includes a summary of the unit history of the heavy tank battalions to which the King Tiger was deployed.
Color painting diagrams are also included. All model (1/35 scale) examples are new, featuring four early models (Porsche type) from Takom, Nichimo, Hobby Boss, and Dragon, and four production models (Henschel type) from Ryefield, Tamiya, Academy, and Takom.
*The detailed explanation of the actual vehicle and the battalion unit history are re-edited versions of the June and August 2016 issues of Grand Power magazine.
