Product Description

1/80 scale, 16.5mm gauge, metal, pre-assembled model.
JR Hokkaido 785 series
Completed product with interior included.

[About the actual vehicle]
The 785 series was JR Hokkaido's first new type of limited express train and debuted in 1990.
This was the first VVVF inverter-controlled train car for the JR Group, and it was introduced on the Sapporo-Asahikawa section of the Hakodate Main Line, a key line of JR Hokkaido. It won the Good Design Award the following year.
This time, Endo will be producing a model of the 785 series, which has undergone various modifications since then and is still in active service today, based on the specifications from 2010 onwards, after the introduction of the 300 series.
In particular, we highly recommend connecting the 300 series with the 789 series that we previously produced to enjoy its features.

[Product Specifications]
- Made primarily using brass material
- The front part is made using the lost-wax technique.
- The car body was manufactured by pressing brass etched plates.
- Underfloor equipment is made of white metal + lost-wax casting + etched plate.
- Interior lighting: Endo interior lighting (chip LED type)
- Headlights/taillights: On
- Coupler:
• Leading car: Tight coupler
- Intermediate cars: Endo retractable couplers
- Bogie: DT57/N-DT261
- Pantograph: Single-arm pantograph (made by IMON)
- Power: Canon LN-15 motor + wheels (undecided) + WB26.0mm MP gear
- Other: Wipers are already installed / Decals are to be installed by the customer.
