A festival where model manufacturers from all over Japan gathers, the Shizuoka Hobby Show will be held next month, and as of today, the 14th of April, we have started
taking reservations for a large amount of related new products.
So I thought I should share a number of goodies out of my personal interest and may be prejudice.
Lotus Type 79 1978 (with new mold)
Lotus79 "1978 German GP Winner"
......errrrrm...
An exact same car has been produced
with the same specifications will be released two different companies.
They are both at 1/20 scale, and they both comes with a custom etching parts, most gracious.
geee, I would want to get them both and compare them, but being the unassembled plastic kit newbie that I am, I would like to ask you all to do it for me...... not that I
like relying upon others or anything...
But yeah, even if they model the same subject, their interpretations may differ, so let's hope that the characteristics of each company shines through each model.
Lamborghini Countach LP400
A brand new series by the name of Super Cars has begun by Aoshima.
Super Car. Ah, such sweet rhyme to it, so admirable.
The Countach: one of the most well known cars by Lamborghini.
I hear that this word [Countach] derives from the interjection that a male produce when seeing a beautiful woman... or something.
Countach! Countach!
......I digressed.
Right, the important thing is the kit, and it seems that the gull-wing door and the engine etc. has been properly reproduced. Looks like something to look forward to, you
can see that they have put in quite some effort.
I wonder if it can be opened and closed after construction...? But yeah, it looks like it will be well worth assembling, with quite the volume.
K-ON! USS Kitty Hawk
Itasha? Ita-Jets? No no, these days it's the Ita-Carriers...... may be... anyway, Fujimi has gotten the popular anime [K-ON!] onto one, producing the [K-ON!] Ita-Kitty
Hawk!
Sadly we don't have any images of it as of yet, but its sure to be interesting none the less.
Speaking of Kitty Hawk, there is also an aircraft with the same name from WW II, but this one is the USS aircraft carrier. (but both names are derived from the hill
[Kitty Hawk] that the Wright Brothers had succeeded in flight for the first time.)
Beginning its use in 1956, this is a rather old ship, and apparently it had visited Yokosuka at one point, but it has retired last year. As it's an aircraft carrier, you
could stick big stickers all over the deck and the body too.
Anyway, the information that has been announced today is only the beginning.
We will be adding images and details as soon as we receive them, so keep an eye out on our site and look forward to them!
See you next time!
