[Still Continuing] Hobby Show New Products Info.
Wishing to hibernate due to the temp being low again lately, Tomeko here. Good day everyone.
Following yesterdays post, we will be looking at the items announced by Hobby Show today.

F-22 Raptor with Engine

We have discussed Raptor here on this blog before, but finally, Fujimi has announced its kit release. There were a few 1/72 scale Raptors released before by other companies, but the selling point of this item is...

The engine can be detached!!

I think that's the key selling point.
The heart of what is seen as one of the strongest? fighter jet in the world, currently in year 2010 at present. I just can't wait to find out how it will be reproduced. Other than that, there is also the canopy and horizontal tail wing that can be adjusted, so you can play with it and display it at the angle of your choice.

JMSDF PG Hayabusa Class Otaka/Shirataka

These are Missile boat of the Japanese Navy, and they are classed as [Hayabusa Class].

Missile boats are the successor of a Torpedo boat, and the MSDF had constructed their very first Missile Boat in the mid 1990s. These were called No.1 type Missile Boat, and were designed based on what the Italian Navy had introduced.
But there were issues that, it may be all right for the Mediterranean Sea, but in the Japanese sea with the rough waves, the ship was too small, and stopped production at the 3rd.

And that's when Hayabusa arrived.
Compared to the No.1 type, the ship body is larger, and with the unidentified ship incident in 1999 at Noto peninsula*, they had concentrated on improving the performance, centered on the stealth and speed of the ship.

*the Unidentified Ship Incident: In the 1999, there was a case of an unidentified wave signal coming from a fishing boat look-alike (= spy ship) found in the Noto peninsula, and the MSDF had went on pursuit after it.

So yeah.
This is very happy kit, that even comes with the unidentified boat as an extra!
So you could reproduce the pursuit scene as a diorama, or create a missile launching scene etc, it will be fun coming up with all the things you could do with it!

Anyway, moving on. I've talked about the Zero type 22 a little back, incidentally, that type 22 will be productized!
great timing...

Mitsubishi A6M3/3a Zero Fighter

This type 22 here, as it is to be joining the 1/48 scale Classic Aircraft series, they will put quite some effort into this kit, I'm sure.
Oh and the fact that you can select either the normal version or the customized version is something to look forward to, too.
There are many that say this is the most stylish of the Zeros, so we will keep you informed as soon as we get updates, so look out for it!

By the way, the prices for the Hobby Show related reservation goods are often only tentative, and is subject to change by the manufactures, so we will be notified of the official pricing later.
I know this will annoy or trouble many of you, but we ask for your understanding and cooperation. Thanks everyone!

...btw.
