Superbly detailed kit, really great job from Kotobukiya. I wish there where more weird-looking kits like this one out there. Come with lots of really small parts, a kickass looking dedicated stand, and a decal sheet. The decals are a little thick though, you might need to use microsol to have them stick as close to the surface as possible (some of the decals run over "ridges"). Other than that, a really great looking kit!

Got this figure today... Skin is shinier than the production pics, like she's covered in baby oil, similar to the Liliana-san figure by Mouse Unit... Been collecting figures for over 10 years & this is the 1st figure I've gotten w/ so much plastic between ALL points of connection & covering everything. That said, my only complaint is the plastic covering the torso as it goes under her top, which was a PITA to remove w/o taking her top off. When put together, it's a great figure!

Multi Purpose Humanoid Robot `C.A.T.-00` w/Bonus Itemm (Plastic model)

1. wrist joints are fragile (mine snapped like it was nothing), can easily replace them with a spare set from a kotobukiya frame arms girl (I used a set from innocentia)
2. gun will require glue as it falls apart easily (the grenade launcher and sight fall off a lot)
3. leftover parts for a gun you don't get (a section of barrel and a scope),
4. plastic quality (it isn't top teir but it's decent and sands very easily, be careful not to oversand parts)
5. weird engrish on box

I think this is the most expensive one by Alter (correct me if I'm wrong)
This is a very difficult sculpture, given the color scheme, the detail,
and the arrangement. Honestly, they could've gone with an easier pose,
but then it would be just like any other. If it's about collective value, then
this is the figure to get. If it's just getting a figure, look elsewhere.

It's made in Taiwan but the quality is the same with Japan-made chisels. It's made from steel so users may bend it a little bit while carving on plastic parts unlike tungsten-made chisels are absolutely rigid. I broke an expensive tungsten chisel once so steel chisel like this might be better. Users can use pin vise to hold it, such as Tamiya 74112 like my image.

Having seen the image, I see what OP means. I wouldn't go as far to say it's ugly, but I do think the ball was dropped somewhat in sculpting her. With that said, the original version was long sold out by the time I became aware of it, so this version may be the only way of getting a decent Dark Phoenix figure (as any western versions I've seen are dire).

the quality standard.

She looks exactly like her art in the game, but the pose isn't dynamic, she's not battle scarred or anything, and there is no extra flourishes. With a price like that she should resemble a Goodsmile Fate figure or something, but all I see is what I always see, but with an obscene price increase.
