I went to the Tomytec Product Briefing Session yesterday,
and there were sooooo many new products announced, so I will quickly report them to you!

Type Kiha 47 No.0~, No.500~, No.1000, No.1500~
Tomix has been making the series Kiha 40 in High Grade Models, but for some reason, they were only the Kiha 40 and Kiha 48.
So what happened to that guy with double opening door, without a deck and doesn't exist in Hokkaido!?
Where is the Kiha 47???
Well, I'm sure I'm not the only one that thought this.
But fear not, they are slated for release in fall.

Series Kiha 183 New Painting Version
From the era of JNR to JR, the Series Kiha 183 could be seen as the main trains used on the Hokkaido Diesel Limited Express. There are the Limited
Express Coloring from the JNR days, and the limited express [Okhotsk] version of the recent years has been on sale, but this coloring can't be
forgotten too.
That's right, the coloring announced this time, is the orange and red stripes on the white base, the "New Coloring" version! Bringing a new wind
to Hokkaido with the arrival of Series Kiha183 No.500~, that new painting version will be released.
Where is the new coloring????
I'm sure I'm not the only one that's been waiting for this.
Actually, old product (92610) is also registered on our product database, but we found out that since the start of Hobby Search,
there is
no record of ever receiving the product over the 10 years!!
It's been over 10 years since the end of production for the old product, so the series Kiha 183 new painting is a train that hasn't been seen in a
long time.
A L S O, its not just the high drivers cab on the leader car, but the reformed leader car (TypeKiha183 No100~) is also included too!
This 6-car set and the add on Type Kiha 182 no.0 (M) and (T) are slated for release after fall.

[Limited Edition Product] Series Kiha 183 New Painting Limited Express "Tokachi"
The limited express "Tokachi" using the series Kiha 183 new painting, will be released as a limited edition product.
Now, allow me to explain why this is limited edition!
In the year 1990, the limited express "Tokachi" was created, due to the increased frequency of use for the limited express "Oozora", and series
Kiha 183 was selected for the job!
However, in the following year, the 1991, the double decker car type Kisaro 182 was to be put used as the middle cars for "Tokachi", thus the
train name had been changed to Limited Express "Super Tokachi". Plus, they changed the coloring too, as if to state that "It's not the same as
before".
So the "Limited Express Tokachi" with the "New Painting Series Kiha 183" had only been running for just over a year, which makes this a very rare
formation.
And that is why it is to be a limited edition product.
It is planned to be a 5-car set,
and slated for release after fall.

[Limited Edition Product] Series 489 Express Train "Notoi"
In March 2010, the express train "Noto" had been ranked downed to a Temp. Express "Noto", and with that, the cars used had been changed from the
series 489 of JR West, to the series 485 of JR East.
And with the end of run for the sleeper express "Hokuriku", there was huge gossip over the loss of the night train that departs from Ueno
station.
In Tomix, the final formation of the express train "Noto" running by series 489 has been reproduced too.
The type Moha 489 customized as lounge and convenience cars from the limited express "Hakusan" days, had been attached to this formation, and that
has been reproduced with new mold!
And the head mark that you might be interested in is pre-printed... but it also can be swapped with the "Home Liner" and "Toki" that are included
too!
The "Home Liner" was what it was used as before its run as "Noto", being used either as the "Home Liner Konosu" (Ueno Station ~ Konosu Station) or
the "Home Liner Koga" (Ueno Station ~ Koga Station).
"Toki" was use on the way back from Ueno station, after it's arrival at Ueno, the destination of it's final run, returning as the temporary
limited express "Toki". It would normally just a forwarding train returning to Kanazawa, but it was a nice move for them to specially allow it to
run as a temporary train, giving them the chance to say fare well.
As for the model, the head mark is planned to be unlit when equipped with either the "Home Liner" or "Toki"!!
Tomix really knows what we want.
This item is slated for release in winter.
JR Series 700 No.7000~ "Hikari Rail Star"
The "Hikari Rail Star" that's running on the Sanyo shinkansen of JR South, currently uses the series 700 No. 7000~.
This set will be a renewal product, with changes to specifications.
It will be reborn as a 8-car full formation, slated for release this winter.
Type EF510 No.500~ (Hokutosei)
Gathering the most attention right now, the new type electric locomotive EF510.
The Hokutosei coloring has made its debut, and has been assigned to tow the sleeper express Cassiopeia.
Let's look forward to its work as the new generation Blue Train towing car of the JR East.
The model is slated for release in winter this year.

And also!
The actual thing made appearance in the Kawasaki Heavy Industries, the manufacturer on 5th of July that just passed, and had been transported to
Tabataso Train Yard, the Cassiopeia color Type EF510.
With great timing, it is planned for production in N-Scale.
The silver body really matches the passenger cars for the sleeper express "Cassiopeia".
Series 24 Type 25 (Hokutosei) *Current Formation
With the number of current sleeper express "Hokutosei" running reduced, the passenger cars owned by the JR East and JR Hokkaido each be linked by
half the number. And the spotlight is on the current formation, to reproduce this in N-Scale, and will be releasing these car sets.
The existing cars like the Type EF81, type ED79, and type DD51 etc. are of course an option, but lets also link with the EF510 No.500~ Hokutosei
Color that just made its debut, too.
JR Cargo Container type 19D and other
From the current JR Freight's Cargo Container series, the type 19D, type 19A, and type V19B will be released. The type 19D is slated for release
in fall, while the type 19A and A19B will be in spring 2011. The fine positioning of logo marks and other details should be paid attention to.

New Friends joining the Wide PC Rail
Adding count to the curb rail, and adding width to the rail flooring area etc., the Wide PC Rail Series from Fine Track with greater realism will
be gaining a new rail fraction and end rails etc.
Item scheduled for production are:

And out of all this, the "Wide-Rail Balance kit (F)" has an existing point turned into wide rail, causing it to be a set of ballast parts and
frame set.
Also includes the parts for fraction rails after the point splits.

Those of you with good perception may have noticed what these rails are used for, by seeing the notation of rail length.
The item slated for release with this product is the Wide Rail Side Track Set.
It will be a side track set with premise that a station with an island type platform will be placed.

Others Being Planned
Here is an introduction for the projects that have not been decided for release dates and specifications etc. There will be an official
announcement once the details are set.
- Series E259 "Narita Express"
Currently active as the second generation access train to Narita Airport, of JR East, the series E259 "Narita Express" project is currently being
planned.
- Sayonara Hokuriku
The sleeper express "Hokuriku", which had been abolished due to the reshuffling of train schedule in March 2010. Tomix is currently planning a
project to productize its form as it was on the final run that departed Ueno Station on the 12th of March.

Type EF510 No.0~ (Red Thunder)
Type EF510 No.500~ (Hokutosei)
The Type EF510 that was displayed as a photo panel at the Shizuoka Hobby Show.
It's already making appearance in HO Scale!
Type EF510 No.500~ (Cassiopeia)
And additionally large news, the Cassiopeia coloring was decided to being productized!
Yeah! They all announced at once!!
However, the release dates for the type EF510 is currently undecided.
Series 24 Type 25 No.0~
One of the regular passenger cars of the Blue Train, the series 24 type 25. The image use on their poster is a photo of the recent JR one, but it
says they are advancing with their project to reproducing the specifications of the JNR period Blue Train.
Slated for release in winter.
Type Koki 107
The latest cargo container freight car, type Koki 107 from JR Freight has been decided to being productized. Apparently its slated for release in
spring 2011.

There will be 4 varieties of new containers to be added at HO-Scale.
The type 19G is slated in fall, and the type V19B, type 19a, and type 19B is slated for release in spring 2011.
