GE P42 `Genesis` Amtrak Phase V
The General Electric P42, also known as the `Genesis` locomotive, is a modern 4200 horsepower passenger locomotive used across the United States and Canada with Amtrak utilizing it in a majority of theire revenue service. The Phase V `wave` paint scheme was originally introduced in 2000 to accompany the new Amtrack Acela train system, but was also applied to the Amtrak`s `Genesis` series locomotives - the first paint scheme to incorparate the new Amtrak logo.
Amtrak is a registered serveci mark of the National Railroad Passenger Corporation. Phase V scheme under the licence of Amtrak.
