At the time of its release, the body color was brown, but later it was changed to blue, mainly on vehicles that had been modernized and renovated, such as by changing the interior lights to fluorescent lights.

- The Suha 43 series is a group of passenger cars that has been introduced as a vehicle that is more comfortable than conventional passenger cars. The Suhafu 42 type is a 3rd class passenger express train that was introduced in 1951 (Showa 26), and 335 were manufactured. Unlike the Suha 43 type, there were no changes to the model due to bogie replacement, etc., and following the Ohafu 61 type, the conductor's room was placed at the end of the car, and a rear observation window was installed on the gable side.
- The product reproduces the appearance of a vehicle that has undergone modernization work such as changing the interior lights to fluorescent lights and changing interior materials, and the exterior is painted blue No. 15.
