Dimensions are in mm, so the answer is no, it won't fit your 1/8 figures. It's at
most 3.3 inches tall and many 1/8 figures are around 6-7 inches tall.

Nah it can't fit anything other than Color Colle figures which are only about 4cm tall. Its height is 8.5cm while a nendoroid is about 10cm tall. So you guess the rest.
I have been wondering why there isn't a case that users can assemble. The already assembled ones are a heck lot for shipping.

It will fit petit nendos (5-6cm) and chibi kyun charas too.
For buildable cases, you may wanna take a look on di:stages - they're cheap, buildable even with DIY acrilic sheets and come in both clear and black. You can either use just the plain set or get the extension set for columns. The bad part is that each set is just a little bigger than a square nendoroid base, so for a large diorama you'll need a bunch of them x-x
