Definitely an interesting way of doing this dynamic pose. If they had used plastic, I'm certain it wouldn't be strong enough to raise her high enough. Posing too low and it wouldn't make sense.
The figure is okay, but I don't like the thick metal supports on the feet. Supports have been clear instead of metal. I saw the original picture and it is faithful to the art but the figure on its own just looks like a ice skater than a robot pilot.
