- It is a cruiser of the US Navy, the third ship of the Alaska class large cruiser.
- Inaugurated at the New York shipyard in December 1943, it was launched in November 1945, but was discontinued in 1947 and became a custodian in an unfinished state. Eventually it was removed in 1958 and it was sold as a scrap the following year.

- The hull is reproduced by the slide mold, and the deck is subjected to precise sculpture.
