[Actual vehicle introduction]
- It is the last coal transport freight car of the National Railway Company, 151 cars were manufactured from Showa 56 using the basic parts of the car transport 5000. Beyond privatization it was used until 1998.
- Hokkaido and the Yamaguchi Misaki line are used lines.
- In Hokkaido it was used up to the end of the Mitsui Ashitari mine and mixed with Seki 6000, it was organized to about 40% at most.
- On Miyoshi Line, we have enrolled 2 unified format semi-fixed formations in 22-car organization.

[About prototype]
This product is the final formula coal wagon of the National Railways manufactured in 151, which was diverted from the main equipment such as dolly and brake equipment which is expected to occur with surplus of car carrier 5000 in 1976. (Private wagons were covered by coal by regulation.) It was planned to substitute for the conventional Seki 6000, but as coal policy changed during production, we saw the end of coal transport and stopped manufacturing, completely new TR223 style made by only the plan finished. He played an active part in two places, mainly in Hokkaido and Yamaguchi prefecture Miyako line, and finished his success in Hokkaido in 1994. Although it was transferred to Miyoshi Line in part, it was completely abolished with Heisei 10 in the end of Mimei coal stone transport.
In addition to both areas, a small number of activities were seen around Kyushu Omuta Station.
