- Saracen was developed as an armored military transport version of the FV 600 series at Alvis Corp of the UK and started mass production in 1952 and was used in the Northern Ireland conflict.
- It was possible to ride the driver and the commander in the vehicle, as well as the eight infantry and the captain of the squad corresponding to one squad.
- Armed equipped with an L3A 4 machine gun at the turret at the top of the car body and a Bren light machine gun at the back of the car body.
