Product Description

The F-8 is powered by the J57-P-20 engine, designated JT3C by Pratt & Whitney.
According to the documentation, there appear to be about three different shapes for the cover that covers the nozzle iris, but this part reproduces the cylindrical shape of the iris that is installed on the F-8E/J, with the iris located at the front.
The iris itself is depicted as being nearly fully closed, and the Augmenta pipes and frame holders have also been faithfully modeled.
It is designed in a shape and size that can be attached to the Hasegawa 1/48 F-8E/J kit without any modifications, and can be inserted from the rear end of the fuselage even after the fuselage has been glued together.
