Introducing the completely new 1/48 scale Wing-Gee Kits Type 99 Carrier-Based Bomber Model 22.
The Type 22 was an improved version of the Type 11 Type 99 carrier bomber, and began to be deployed to units in 1943.
The product being released this time is the first ever 1/48 scale injection kit.
The kit comes with etched parts, paint mask stickers, and four types of decals (one each for aircraft carrier Junyo, Shokaku, Usa Air Group, and 701st Air Group).
The Wingzie kit's products are incredibly detailed, with the panel lines and rivet marks on the surface of the aircraft being delicately rendered, and the cockpit and engine are also meticulously rendered in minute detail using etched parts.
This is a must-have item for modelers who are fans of Japanese aircraft.

The Type 99 carrier-based dive bomber was a Japanese Navy carrier-based dive bomber produced by Aichi Aircraft and used in the early to mid-Pacific War.
The Model 22 was officially adopted in 1943 and was an improved version of the Model 11, with the engine replaced with the Kinsei Model 54, the shape of the engine cowling changed accordingly, a propeller spinner added, the rear movable windshield extended, and other aerodynamic improvements made, as well as structural changes to the swing arm and horizontal stabilizer.
These modifications reduced range, but improved speed, climbing ability, high altitude performance, and bomb load.
