- This model is a replica of the former "Tsubame" train that ran between Hakata and Nishi-Kagoshima, one of the 787 series express trains representing JR Kyushu. The front end of this model is made by lost wax casting, the body is made by pressing, and some of the roof parts are made by etching and pressing.
- The two-tone gray paint of the [Tsubame] has been faithfully reproduced with reference to materials owned by the paint manufacturer, and has been beautifully painted with metallic paint. The front end is made using lost wax casting, which tends to give a thick impression, but by processing each part as thin as possible, the sharp front mask of the 787 series has been reproduced. The indicator lights on the sides are made of separate acrylic parts, and even the headlights above the driver's compartment have separate lenses carefully fitted into them. Various logos are reproduced using special printing, so please enjoy the wide variety of logos that are unique to JR Kyushu.
