-Keikyu's 230 form, famous as a pre-war car, is one of the predecessors of Keikyu Electric Railway in 1930, the De-1 25 car that Shonan Electric Railway prepared for the new opening between Koganecho-Uraga and Shonan Zushi. At its roots, a total of 55 identical cars appeared, including the sister railway Keihin Electric Railway.
-Considering entry into the Tokyo subway, the large windows and agile driving performance were carried over to Keikyu vehicles in later years.
-In 1963, the vehicle was renewed and the familiar red and white belt color was applied. In the later years, he played an active part in branch lines such as the Airport Line and Daishi Line.
-Retired from the Keikyu Line in 1978, some vehicles were transferred to Takamatsu Kotohira Electric Railway in Kagawa Prefecture and continued to operate until 2017.
-About 90 years after its appearance, there are still three still cars, one of which will be displayed at the Keikyu Museum, which opens in January 2020 at the Keikyu headquarters in Yokohama.
