Keio Teito Electric Railway 6000 series is a commuter vehicle newly made as a successor to the 5000 series (manufactured in 1963, 18m class 3 door car) that was touted as [Keio's famous car], the first 20m class 4 door car in Keio ( Gauge: 1,372 mm). Production started in 1972, was manufactured until 1990, and was finally refurbished in 1991 as a 20-meter 5-door vehicle with the aim of shortening boarding and alighting times. From the Keio Line limited express to each station stop, it was also used to get on the Toei Subway Shinjuku Line, and was widely used as the Keio's flagship car instead of the 5000 series. The operation ended in 2011, and the stainless steel body was adopted from the successor 7000 series, so it was considered the last steel body of Keio, and this was the last car body with ivory.
