[About actual car]
- The DD53 type diesel locomotive is a snowplow diesel locomotive manufactured in 1965.
- A powerful snowplow locomotive based on the DD51 type, in order to cope with large-scale snowfall that could not be dealt with by the previous DD14 diesel locomotive, by connecting a rotary snowplow to the front of the locomotive body It was snow removal.
- Although it was scrapped in 2010, Unit 1 is still stored and exhibited at Usui Railway Culture Village.
