-The French National Gendarmerie is one of the police organizations in France and is engaged in a wide range of activities, from security interventions such as anti-terrorism operations and riot suppression, to mountain security and crowd control.
-Although it is an organization that also equips armored vehicles, Renault's Estafette and 4TL are the vehicles that have been deployed many times in its history.
- The Estafette was a small commercial van manufactured and sold by French Renault from 1959 to 1980, adopting a front-engine, front-drive FF.
- Introduced since 1961 with over 12,000 deployed.
- Also, from 1963, Rouault's popular car, 4TL, released in 1961, was introduced.
-The 5-door hatchback vehicle that adopted the FF mechanism became a long-selling model that was popular with the public due to its high practicality.
- About 14,000 units were used by the military police until 1993.
- For more than 30 years, these two cars have played an active role in social stability in various parts of France.
