- Endo's 205 series will be joined by the 500 series on the Sagami Line and the 600 series on the Utsunomiya Line and Nikko Line.
- The 500 series of Sagami Line trains was introduced in 1991 in conjunction with the electrification of the Sagami Line, and features a unique front design that is different from other series.
- The 600 series, introduced on the Utsunomiya and Nikko lines, were created by modifying the 0 series on the Keiyo line to replace the aging 107 and 211 series. (Later, two modified Kawagoe line trains were added.)
- This time, Endo is producing the 500 series based on the configuration after the pantograph was replaced with PS-33, and the 600 series based on the Y1 to Y10 formations, which are modified versions of the 0 series on the Keiyo Line.
- We will also be adding the tourist train [Iroha], a remodeled version of the Y3 formation, to our lineup.
