Product Description

--The most numerous black freight car of the Japanese National Railways, the Wara 1, is now available in HO scale. Recreate JNR-era freight trains by combining it with the Tora 45000 and Wam 90000!

[Product Introduction]
The Wara 1 is a popular type of covered freight car among those manufactured by the Japanese National Railways (JNR), with over 17,000 units produced between 1962 and 1966.
To cope with the increasing rail freight transport in the 1960s, the Wam60000 two-axle car was used as the base, and its body was enlarged to the maximum extent possible, enabling a 2-ton increase in load capacity compared to conventional cars and contributing to improved transport capacity.

The WARA 1 is a new addition to the HO gauge lineup of Japanese National Railways (JNR) freight cars.
These freight cars were used on freight trains throughout Japan and can be enjoyed together with the popular <1-203 (HO) D51 Standard Mass Production Type> and various other JNR freight car products.

[Product features]
The large body and black paint scheme of this Japanese National Railways two-axle freight car have been beautifully reproduced.
The WAM60000 features details not present in the original, such as rivets on the end walls, guide rails on the side doors in different positions, and handrails with different shapes.
The detailed and accurate shape is achieved through features such as openable and closable side doors and separate attachments for some handrails.
The details around the bogie are reproduced with a sense of depth.
The wheels are plate wheels.
The vehicle number is selectable (lettering sheet), and other markings are pre-printed.
Equipped with (HO) KATO knuckle couplers that reproduce the shape of the couplers on the actual train and also have coupling functionality.
