The 14 series, which played an active role on special and group trains throughout Japan, including the temporary "Odoriko," is now available in JR specifications. It can also be coupled with the Yumekukan!

[Product Introduction]
The 14 series passenger cars debuted in 1972 as passenger cars equipped with facilities equivalent to those of limited express trains, such as simple reclining seats and heat-absorbing glass for the passenger compartment windows.
Since 1968, the development of a high-speed train network connecting Shinkansen stations with various regional cities has progressed, and subsequent timetable revisions have led to an increase in the number of limited express trains, including the upgrading of express trains.
As a result, 12-series passenger cars, which were based on express-type electric trains, were sometimes used on limited express trains.
However, because the 12 series had inferior facilities for express train service, the 14 series passenger cars were developed.
It had a wide range of uses, operating on special limited express trains, chartered trains, and express trains throughout Japan, excluding Shikoku.

The lineup of HO gauge 14 series passenger cars will now include JR specifications.
Just like the real trains that operated in various configurations, you can enjoy creating your own custom train sets in the model to suit your layout and display location.

[Product features]
This product features the 14 series passenger cars from around 1990, after the transition to JR.
The Suhafu 14 and Ohafu 15 cars have been reproduced with the JR mark.
The side passenger doors on each car reproduce the design with the white stripe omitted.
The H-shaped rubber seals on each part are represented in gray.
The intermediate coupling sections use KATO couplers (extendable close-coupling type). KATO HO knuckle couplers are used on the locomotive coupling side of the Suhafu 14 and Ohafu 15 cars.
Train mark and taillights illuminate (Suhafu 14 and Ohafu 15). Includes a light switch.
The Suhafu 14 and Ohafu 15 cars already have the "Odoriko" train mark attached. Replacement marks are included: "Akebono (text)", "Kinsei (text)", "Spur Myoko/Shiga", "Spur Hakuba/Tsugaike", "Express", "Express EXPRESS", "Group", and "(Plain White)".
Includes destination display stickers, a lettering sheet containing vehicle number and ownership markings, and inspection markings.
Suhafu 14 and Ohafu 15 have the JR mark, end markings, Yokokaru mark, cockpit location mark, and end face markings printed on them. Oha 14 has the end markings, Yokokaru mark, cockpit location mark, and end face markings printed on it.
