- The V18B container is a 12ft ventilated container that was introduced in 1988, and is based on the V18A manufactured the previous year, with enlarged internal dimensions.
- Along with the V18A and the double-sided V18C, this was the main ventilated container in the 1990s, but was replaced by successor containers such as the V19B and was removed from service around 2013.

- The 18D container was a 12ft container that was introduced in 1989, and was painted blue with a diagonal white stripe.
- The V18B container is a 12ft ventilated container that was introduced in 1988, and was based on the V18A manufactured the previous year, with enlarged internal dimensions.
- Both types were used as the main containers in the 1990s, but were retired due to the introduction of successor containers such as the 19D and V19C types.
