[Actual vehicle introduction]
- The Kiha 23 type is a suburban diesel train manufactured in 1966, and is equipped with dual driver cabs, 2 double doors, and semi-cross seats.
- Although the number of units manufactured by the entire series was small, they were deployed and used all over the country.
- The Kiha 37 type is a diesel train for local lines manufactured in 1983, and is equipped with a single driver's cab, two doors that open on one side, and a long seat.
- Only 5 cars were manufactured and placed on the Kakogawa Line, Kajiya Line (a branch line of the Kakogawa Line), and the Kururi Line.
- From the end of the Japanese National Railways era, the painting was changed to improve the image of local lines.
- The Kakogawa Line color is one of them, and the Kiha 23 and Kiha 37 types were also painted.
- After the Kajiya Line was discontinued in March 1990, the Kiha 23 type was transferred to another line with some of the same paintwork.
- The Kiha 37 type ended its operation on the Kakogawa Line with the October 1999 revision and was transferred to other line sections.
