Product Description

- SD40-2 Early (early/initial type)

[SD40-2]
- The SD40-2 is a 3000 horsepower high-speed main line hood type diesel locomotive produced by EMD from 1972 to 1986.Due to the oil shock that occurred at the time, the low fuel consumption and economical SD40-2 gained popularity and 4000 locomotives were produced. It was also mass-produced soon.
- Actively used by many railroad companies in the United States and Canada, and a considerable number of them are still in use today.
- It will be produced with 4 road names and 2 numbers so that it can reproduce the SD40-2's multiple-to-multiple operation and combined operation with vehicles with different paint colors from the railways it enters.
