[About the actual car]
- In 1999, JR East introduced the new E26 series sleeper express trains.
- The train was named after Cassiopeia, a W-shaped constellation that shines in the northern sky.
- The "W" also represents the two-story building and the two-person private rooms.
- The E26 series is equipped with hotel-like interiors and various facilities based on the overall concept of "a sleeper train that provides a comfortable space."

[About the model product]
- Mainly made from brass.
- The interior lights are Model Cedar chip LEDs (warm white), and the nickname sign and dining car table lights now light up.
- The couplers at both ends are KD couplers, and the middle one is an Endo telescopic coupler.
- The bogie is TR-250 + Φ10.5mm corrugated gray wheels.
- The Kahaf E26 is equipped with an auxiliary power unit (Canon EN22 general-purpose double-shaft motor + MP gear system).
