[About the actual machine]
- The MiG-21 is a masterpiece Soviet fighter aircraft that began operation in 1959, and although various types have been produced, it is still in active service into the 2000s.
- It was designed by the Mikoyan-Gregovich Design Bureau, and the prototype first flew in 1955. In 1956 it was given the official name MiG-21.
- The first mass-produced model was called the MiG-21F, and later on, various improved versions were released. Among them, the MiG-21bis can be said to be the perfected version of the MiG-21.
- The MiG-21bis first flew in 1971.
- Powered by a single Tumansky R-25-300 turbojet engine, the aircraft had a top speed of 2,175 km/h.
- The armament consisted of one 23mm GSh-23L cannon. The aircraft had four hard points, allowing it to carry a maximum of 1,300 kg of ordnance.
- It was widely deployed and used not only in the Soviet Union but also in other communist countries.

[About the model]
- The model is a 1/48 scale plastic model assembly kit that reproduces the Soviet masterpiece fighter plane MiG-21.
- This model is based on the MiG-21bis type, which was the main variant of the MiG-21 from the 1970s to the 1980s.
- Accurately recreates the unique MiG-21 Fishbed aircraft with its delta wing and nose-mounted air intakes.
- The parts are manufactured by Eduard and are easy to assemble. The hump from the rear of the cockpit to the vertical stabilizer is reproduced as a separate part, accurately expressing the shape of the aircraft.
- In addition, the air brake parts can be assembled either open or closed, allowing you to enjoy the different expressions of the finished product.
- The interior of the cockpit is also modeled in detail, including the instrument panel and seats.
- Markings reproduce the aircraft's natural metal silver body with the blue tactical number 40 painted on the nose.
- The Cyrillic lettering behind the number 40, which represents the permission of the Union of Communist Youth of the Soviet Union, is also reproduced in the decal.
