- The Zero Fighter, a representative Japanese aircraft, was developed and produced by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, but was also produced by Nakajima Aircraft, and ultimately surpassed Mitsubishi in production numbers.
- Although the Nakajima and Mitsubishi Zero Fighter Model 52s are the same aircraft, there are subtle differences.
- Externally, there are differences in the paintwork, such as the line separating the dark green from the color of the underside of the aircraft, and the width of the white border of the "Japanese flag" on the main wings. There are also differences in the aircraft design. The Nakajima Zero Model 52 is characterized by the fact that the heat-resistant plate attached to the side of the aircraft where the single exhaust pipe is installed is longer than that of the Mitsubishi model.

- The kit carefully recreates the differences between this Mitsubishi Zero fighter and the Nakajima Zero fighter.
- Another special feature is that the window frame and glass of the canopy are separate parts, making it easy to paint the clear parts separately (a regular one-piece molded canopy is also included).
- Furthermore, by dividing the fuselage into a front and back section, just like the actual aircraft, we were able to do away with the left and right fuselage division that is standard in aircraft plastic models, and eliminate the need for careful finishing work at the part joining lines, resulting in a plastic model that is easy to build and precise.
