- About the actual aircraft: The C-1 is a domestically produced medium-sized transport aircraft that began deployment of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force in 1973.
- Developed by the Defense Agency's Technical Research and Development Institute and Nippon Aircraft Manufacturing Co., Ltd., it made its first flight in November 1970 and began operation in 1973.
- The aircraft is powered by two Pratt & Whitney JT8D turbofan engines. The rear door under the tail can be opened to accommodate supplies and crew.
- It can carry 45 fully equipped paratroopers, 60 regular personnel, plus 36 patients if stretchers are attached via metal rods installed in the cargo floor.
- In addition, vehicles and artillery can be loaded onto pallets for quick and efficient loading, and the rear doors can be opened and closed during flight, allowing for airdrop.
- It boasted a payload of 8 tons. In addition, the combination of leading edge slats and four-stage gap Fowler flaps provided high STOL (short takeoff and landing) performance with a runway distance of approximately 600 meters required for takeoff.

- The model is a 1/144 scale assembly kit of the C-1, a transport aircraft deployed and operated by the Japan Air Self-Defense Force.
