[About the actual car]
The MIM-23 Hawk surface-to-air missile has been deployed to the U.S. Army since 1959 and is still in use today, with continued improvements.
The M727 missile carrier is a self-propelled vehicle that is equipped with the launcher and missile unit.
Developed based on the chassis of the M548 series of towing/cargo transport vehicles derived from the chassis of the M113 armored personnel carrier.
A platform was installed at the rear of the vehicle, and it carried three MIM-23 Hawk missiles with swivel launchers.
The driver's seat features a rollover protective structure to protect occupants.
Equipped with a Detroit Diesel engine, the car had a top speed of approximately 56 km/h on paved roads.
It was first deployed and used by the US Army in 1969, and was later adopted by NATO countries in Europe.
During the Cold War, it was used to counter the Soviet military and was also used by the Israel Defense Forces.
This improves the maneuverability of the MIM-23 Hawk missile, a masterpiece of medium-range guided missiles, and makes it even more powerful.

[About the model]
The model is a set of plastic model assembly kits that reproduce in 1/35 scale the MIM-23 Hawk/M192 surface-to-air missile launcher developed by the US military in the 1950s and still in use today, and the M727 MIM-23 self-propelled missile carrier, a self-propelled missile launcher developed and deployed in 1969.
The M727 missile carrier is modeled in great detail, featuring a square body equipped with three MIM-23 missiles and a mechanical, sci-fi-like style.
The finished product is about 17cm long and 7cm wide. The tracks are partly connected and partly integrated NEO tracks.
The intricate detailing of not only the MIM-23 missile but also the launcher platform is not to be missed.
This set also includes one MIM-23 Hawk/M192 missile launcher.
Don't miss the detailed design of the launcher. The delicate reproduction of the outrigger legs is also realistic.
Both missiles can rotate left and right and elevate up and down even after completion, allowing you to enjoy displaying them in a variety of situations.
