[About the actual car]
At a time when Group 5 cars were the mainstream in sports car racing, the BMW 320 Gr.5 showed overwhelming strength in Division 2, which was contested in the under 2 liter class.
The base vehicle was a 3 Series two-door sedan with the model name E21, a sporty sedan that appeared in 1975, and it was transformed into a Gr. 5 machine with an imposing appearance, featuring extended front and rear overhangs and large overfenders.
He made his debut in 1977 and won the annual championship.
His success continued and in 1980 he competed in the German Racing Car Championship (DRM).
Hans Stuck won 4 out of 13 races and finished second in the series.
