[About Great Saurus]
In the late 1970s, known as the third monster boom, Popy [Greatsaurus Series] [Kingsaurus Series] (sold from 1978 to 1981) appeared. These were collectible toys made by [Poppy], a group company of Bandai.
The biggest feature of the series is the molded footprints on both feet of each character, which is why this series was also called the "footprint series."
It was developed as part of the Ultra Monster Series and the Toho Monster Series.
At the time, the Great Saurus series consisted of only selected characters from the King Saurus series in giant size. The Great Saurus Godzilla was later remodeled into lamps and telephone receivers, and lined up in fancy shops.

As part of the Godzilla 70th anniversary project, the historic Godzilla soft vinyl figure "Great Saurus Godzilla" will be faithfully reproduced and reissued using a new mold in 2024.
As part of the same series, this time King Ghidorah, with its three heads, three necks, two long tails, golden scales covering its entire body, two thick legs, and a pair of gigantic wings for flight, has been newly sculpted in the retro rounded form that was released in the Kingsaurus series. It has been made into a three-dimensional figure in the size of the Greatsaurus series!

The soles of the feet are molded to resemble the Great Saurus' feet from that time.
