Ken and Mary's Skyline

The fourth-generation Skyline C110 series, affectionately known as Kenmeri, was born in September 1972 as a full model change of its predecessor, the great C10 series.
From the very beginning, Ken and Mary, a young couple, were used as the commercial characters, and the commercials, with their romantic and human stories, became hugely popular among a wide range of age groups, eventually becoming a social phenomenon.
The Kenmeri car itself was a huge hit, but so were the many merchandise created in association with it, with over 300,000 T-shirts sold.
The Kenmeri, which had all the Skyline identities such as the basic long nose/short deck style, four round taillights, surfing line, and horizontal meter needle, became the biggest hit model of all time with a total production of over 670,000 units.
The four-door Kenmeri model came to be called "four-door Kenmeri = Yonmeri" in the mid-1980s, and is now affectionately known as "Yonmeri."
