Touring car racing, where cars you might see on the streets race at full speed on a circuit, is one of the most popular categories in motorsport.
From the 1960s to the 1980s, the European Touring Car Championship (ETC) was a popular and representative series of racing, primarily contested under Group 2 regulations.
The BMW 3.OCSL No. 2, driven by Gunnar Nilsson, de Fierland, and de Waal, achieved a magnificent overall victory in the fifth race of the 1976 season, the Nürburgring Touring Car Grand Prix.
The entry is Luigi Racing, a well-known privateer team representing BMW.
This victory, along with the 3.0 CSL's impressive run throughout the season, led BMW to a well-deserved Manufacturers' Championship that year.

[About the model]
This is a plastic model assembly kit that recreates the BMW 3.0CSL Gr.2 machine that won the overall victory at the 5th round of the 1976 European Touring Car Championship (ETC) [Nürburgring Touring Car GP].
The scale is 1/24, with a finished length of approximately 190mm and a width of approximately 80mm.
- The clean body design, which was considered one of the most beautiful cars of its time, and the style unique to Gr.2 machines, equipped with overfenders, are realistically reproduced.
