This 1/32 scale plastic model assembly kit recreates the TF-104G Starfighter, a two-seater version of the F-104G, a jet fighter used by Western countries as a supersonic fighter.
About the actual aircraft: The F-104 Starfighter is a supersonic fighter aircraft adopted by the US Air Force and other Western countries.
America's first Mach 2 jet fighter made its maiden flight in February 1954.
The aircraft is powered by a single General Electric J79 engine and has short, rectangular, thin wings.
It was a small fighter plane, about 16 meters long.
The TF-104, which had a two-seat cockpit, was developed as a training aircraft.
It has a tandem seating arrangement for the instructor and pilot, and many Western pilots who operate the single-seat F-104 conducted their training on this aircraft.
Unlike the single-seater, it was not equipped with a 20mm cannon.
It was deployed and operated by many NATO member states, including Belgium, the Netherlands, Norway, and Spain.
