This is a full remake of the second title in the Zero series, Zero: Crimson Butterfly, released in 2003. It is a Japanese-style horror adventure game in which twin sisters get lost in an abandoned village infested with vengeful spirits and use a camera called a "photographer" that can capture and seal away impossible things to fight the vengeful spirits as they progress through the story.

Twin sisters, Amakura Mio and Amakura Mayu, are visiting a valley full of memories.
This whole area will soon be submerged by the dam...
While Mio is lost in her memories, her sister Mayu is drawn to a village that has disappeared from the map, as if chasing a red butterfly that has flown in.
It was a village where night never ended, and vengeful spirits were lurking about, searching for the twins who had escaped from the ritual.
Mio tries to find Mayu and escape from the village, but in doing so she unintentionally ends up retracing the tragedy of the past.
And Mio learns the truth about the forbidden ritual that must not be seen in the depths of the village...

The older twin sister. She has an introverted and quiet personality.
When he was young, he slipped off a mountain path and injured his right leg, and even now he is unable to run well, so he always relies on his younger sister Mio.
He has very strong psychic powers, and is possessed by a spirit that draws him deep into Minakami Village.

By holding hands with Mayu, you can recover your physical strength and spiritual power. Also, if Mayu is in trouble, she will fall over, so approach her and help her up. By holding hands, you can feel the bond between the sisters even more in the story.

While retaining the traditional system of using the [Projector] to photograph and repel vengeful spirits, new elements such as [Focus], [Zoom], and [Filters] have been added, deepening the gameplay using the [Projector] in both exploration and combat.
