Unlike many racing games where you compete against each other for time, Shutokou Battle is decided by Genki's unique rules, the SP Battle, which involves reducing SP (mental strength).
The game is set on the Metropolitan Loop Road, which is surrounded by walls so there is no need to worry about going off course, making it easy to play even for people who like cars but are not good at racing games.
