The Ultima, an immortal classic that left a huge impact on the R/C car scene of the time, achieved an astonishing top-qualifying and one-two-three finish in the 2WD class at the 2nd Electric Off-Road World Championship held in the UK in 1987, and is now back as the 8th installment of the Vintage Series!
This 2019 version model recreates the original Ultima, released in 1986, as a 2WD racing buggy that follows in the footsteps of the Optima, which caused a huge sensation in the electric off-road car scene.
However, each part of the chassis inherits the concept of the Vintage Series, which has been brushed up to be suitable for driving on modern R/C circuits and to be equipped with the latest power sources.
Examples of these include the monocoque frame made of A6061T6 aluminum alloy, the multi-pin rear tire with a block pattern that suits modern circuits and provides all-around performance, full ball bearings to reduce drive loss, gears made of durable sintered metal, a resin rear wing that boasts high crash resistance, and the slipper clutch and motor guard that come as standard equipment.These are all advancements from the original model's specifications, and the car is equipped with ample specs to satisfy the owner's desire to own it in terms of driving as well.
