[About the actual machine]
The Messerschmitt Me 163 Komet was developed and deployed by the German military towards the end of World War II.
It is known as the world's first rocket-powered aircraft.
The aircraft is equipped with one Walter HWK109-509 rocket engine.
It had a top speed of 959 km/h and a climb rate of 160 m/s.
However, the aircraft's tailless, mid-wing design made it difficult to control, its powered flight time was said to be only about seven minutes, giving it an extremely short range, and after interception it had to glide back to base, making it vulnerable to attack by Allied aircraft.
Even so, it is said that around 350 to 400 aircraft were produced.

[About the model]
This is a plastic model assembly kit that recreates the Messerschmitt Me-163 Komet, a German rocket plane from World War II.
- Scale is 1/48. The distinctive tailless design is accurately modeled.

- You can recreate the installation state by cutting the fuselage parts and detaching the rear part.
