This is a 1/13 scale plastic model assembly kit that recreates a Neanderthal that was part of the Prehistoric Scenes series released by Aurora in the 1970s.

[About Neanderthals]
Neanderthals are said to have appeared in Europe about 200,000 years ago and lived from about 40,000 to 30,000 years ago.
It was discovered during limestone mining operations in a cave in the Neander Valley near Düsseldorf, Germany.
In 1856, the bones were passed to a local high school teacher, Johann Carl Fuhrlott, who published his findings.
However, this ancient human bone was the subject of long debate and research, and as a result, it was recognized as a fossil human bone in 1901.

[About the model]
From the popular Aurora series, which recreates prehistoric creatures such as extinct creatures, comes a new plastic model assembly kit by Dencom that recreates a Neanderthal.
-This is a re-release by Dencom Models of a kit first released by the former Aurora Company in 1971.
-Just like back then, the kit is a snap-together kit that does not require adhesive for assembly.
- There are 31 parts and the finished height is approximately 88mm.
- Two types of arm parts and two types of leg parts are available, and the arm parts can be moved even after completion.
-The set also includes an axe made from a rock and a log. By combining it with the two types of arm parts, you can recreate poses such as lifting a rock and preparing to throw it, or swinging the axe while hunting.
The distinctive facial expression and shape of the face express the realism of a Neanderthal. The kit also includes a base.
