The meticulously calculated proportions and ferocious aura of Hajime Tanno's unique design have been reproduced using ACRO's U-Vinyl technology (stencil molding).

I am deeply honored that something I created will be included in the lineup of the KAIJU REMIX SERIES, which I have always admired. I remember being very shocked by the new way kaiju were portrayed when KRS was released, back when I was in high school. Nowadays, redesigned kaiju figures are commonplace, but originally, it seemed like a sacred realm permitted only to the original creators. This series is one of the sources of that democratization, isn't it? As someone at the end of that lineage, I tried to approach this Gudon with sincerity.
Looking back, my first memory of a kaiju soft vinyl figure is of Gudon. More than 20 years ago, my great-grandmother bought me a Gudon soft vinyl figure at a toy store. It was flesh-colored, smooth, and looked nothing like the Gudon in the show, more like a baby. I was so attached to it that I kept it by my bedside, and I feel a strange sense of destiny in that I am now making one myself more than 20 years later.
As far as I remember, the Gudon soft vinyl figure looked so upright from the side that it really caught my attention as a child. I think the slight arch in the waist, the tired, forward-jutting neck, and that gentle S-curve are the core of what makes Gudon unique. This time, I've tried to incorporate those elements while remixing them with my own style. I've toned down the excessive volume and rearranged the way I incorporated surface details, and added an image of an insect living underground, given that it's a subterranean monster. In the movie, it moves in a rather ferocious way, so I aimed to give it a ferocious impression from its face and other features. If you like, please display it alongside Twin Tail.
