The Ju388 was developed and manufactured by Junkers in Germany and is the final evolution of their multi-purpose aircraft, the Ju88.
This aircraft is capable of outrunning fighter jets at high altitudes, finally realizing the Ju 88's concept of a bomber faster than a fighter jet.
Although the production of the Ju388K bomber, Ju388L reconnaissance, and Ju388J night fighter versions was decided, the war ended before full-scale mass production could begin. Along with the Ar234, it was one of the last German bombers to continue production into the final stages of the war.
